Influenced by her British Mum, always surrounded by magical English gardens, Sarah explores the “secret life of plants”. Her paintings sometimes have a hint of British fairy stories from her childhood. Most of the subjects in her paintings are from her own garden, capturing the energy, movement, and quiet moments in nature.
A resident artist at the Holliston Mill, and a member of several New England Art organizations, I have been painting for over 20 years, painting primarily in watercolor for the past ten plus years. I share a studio with another woman artist and good friend; we call ourselves “Wandering Minds Studio”. Active in art communities all over New England, from Marblehead to Providence, my work is in private collections in the US and Europe, in Maryland, New Hampshire, California, France, England, Ireland etc.
Have received Awards from:
I’ve exhibited in many juried shows in such places as TCAN (The Natick Center for the Arts), The Natick Community Organic Farm, The Marblehead Art Society, Southborough Center for the Arts, and The Danforth Museum.
I have had several solo shows at The Audubon Society’s Broadmoor location in Natick, and have exhibited in many group shows (too many to list). I recently participated in a residency in County Mayo, Ireland with 7 other women artists painting and experiencing Ireland for ten incredible days.
